"Sure I can manage to do that much." He pulled his hood up and stood behind Storm waiting for him to open the door.

"Oh no, you have to present your face to the first. It's polite manners. Remove your hood and move your scarf." Storm said as he removed his hat and bandanna and smoothed his slightly spiky hair down.

"Ok, I thought vampires hated to look at humans." He pulled his hood back revealign his face once again. He then removed his scarf and ran his hand through the hair on the back of his head spiking it upwards. "Ok I'm ready."

"No, most vampires love to look at humans... as their slowly draining them of their lives..." Storm hesitated. "The first is our ruler though, any one who has an audience is required to show up looking presentable. No hates, no hoods, no covering the face. It's rude and offensive to the first who believes that it means that one believes their face is not to be seen by our kind. Or something like that. Just look open and you'll be fine." Storm opened the door and walked into the pitch black room where only one chair stood.

Ike nodded to Storm when the door opened. He could feel his heartbeat raising slightly. Hee followed in after Storm looking at the chair the whole time.

Storm stopped 5 feet from the chair and the door behind them closed throwing the room into complete darkness. Storm pulled ike to his knees and whispered quickly to bow. He did the same with one hand across his chest over his heart showing he was a loyal servant. "Oh Great Mistress Mother of all, We humbly appear before you very grateful and honored by your choice to meet with us this most hectic of evenings. I appear before you, your loyal knight, rank 1 above all, Storm McChiron. I bring with me The Human who has requested information that i believe only our mistress mother knows, this however, is not our soul reason for our late disturbance, i also come baring a report of this evenings events and a formal audience between Queen Saundry of Evaria and The mother is requested on behalf of these incidents. Please Mother, tell us humble beings, how do you respond?" Storm did not move from his position. "Rise, my storm." Storm did as he was told. A pair of red eyes peered from the chair that ike swore was empty before. "You may speak your piece." The soft bell like voice told him. Storm bowed again and when he righted himself he began. "The chaos Has been taken care of. The rogue mutant has been cured and returned to her normal state. She has placed herself in a coma. The blood magic has been neutralized and the incidents passed with minimal damage to the city." He reported. "A very great job, as always, my storm. I have heard whispers that you are planning on leaving my side for a spell?" Storm lowered his head in respect. "Yes, Mother. I feel my help is necessary. I also admit to have had a need to wander for a short time. I can do good for all of our worlds if i assist in this mission." Storm explained. "Approach me, my storm." Suddenly A couple candles lit around the chair. Sitting like a small porcelain doll in the chair was a little girl. Her hair was sunshine blonde and her skin paper white. Her eyes were blood red where the whites should have been and black for her irises. Storm knelt before her and she commanded him to rise. A command like the others that he followed without question. She stroked his face lovingly and then kissed his forehead. "You have always had a strong sense of justice in this world. A trait not commonly found among those of us who were turned and forced down this path. I wish you the best while you are away but bare in mind that you still belong to me. Come back to me safe, my storm." Storm smiled and assured her he would return. These actions were tender and sweet but this small child of death still had an air. A presence that frightened ike to his very core. Like she could kill him and he would never have known he had died.

Ike followed all this making sure to not look her in the eyes as he was almost sure this would insult her. He remained in his bowed position remaining silent as Storm had requested. He could not shake the uneasy aura surrounding the first, it was terrifying unlike anything he had ever felt. He couldn't help but wonder how someone that looked like a child could be the almighty vampire and he was sure Storm was talking about the first as a 'he' the whole time. He remained still and unshaken through all this, eventhough the feeling scared him to death, this child was something that was truly powerful unlike him or anyone he had met before. His thoughts wandered off again and he wished he could be as powerful as this child.

The first shifted her gaze, empty, and curious, over to him. "My storm, you may step back. Please, tell me of the information this hero seeks? Also proceed to explain why there is only one where i know that two had entered." Storm bowed. "The girl is in a coma. She is not able to be here. Ike Amadame has come in search of information to lead him to try to obtain the legend that is the book of time. The rumors we underground have heard tell of the chaos above is not fiction. It is real and the evil beings also wish to seize the book. We were wondering if mother knew anything of the great book." She looked directly at Ike. "Stand, Human, and speak your piece. I wish to hear your story, but do not bore me. Make it short." She told him.

Ike stood up and spoke in a calm and respectful manner. "Your highness, I was hired to search for the book by the girl that is not able to attend to find the book. In our quest we came across a clan named the mono'sha that also intend to find the book. They are responsible for the shift in magical balance that has occurred aboveground. There intentions are unsure but if they find the book before us I am sure that it will have a great impact on all of us and I'm not talking of a positive impact." Ike then bowed before the first once again.

"What makes you think that this change will effect us here in our dark sanctuary so much so that you must steal my best man, to help you with your problems?" Storm stood. "Dearest mother," He said slightly defensive. "Silence!" She commanded and he immediately fell to his knees in respect.

"I do not know anything for certain." He lowered his head then continued. "But I do know the book holds all the power one could ever want and with the book it would only be a matter of time before they would find you." He raised his head again. "And with all the knowledge in the world I believe they would not be defeated without doing a great deal of damage."

"So in your meek opinion, you believe this is a problem best solved now with the help of all us mystical beings? That it is not just your problem to shove us into?" She asked. Storm remained on his knees.

"A potential threat to all of us is best eliminated early." He spoke calm but assertive. "It is better to eliminate it now before it becomes a huge problem. Of course there is a chance it won't trouble you but why take the risk?"

"Tell me why i should place my lot in with my diet?" She told him a note of hunger in her voice. "You humans even with magic are weak, and like cattle you eat and live yourselves to death. We simply deliver it quicker and sometimes it doesnt hurt as much. Why should i leave it to you? Whats your part in this? Why is this a problem you have been assigned to handle?"

"It is a problem fate has decided to put into my hands." He answered.
